House to vote on open records today

From the Uniontown Herald-Standard: Rep. Bill DeWeese announced in an impromptu press conference last night that the House will vote on HB 443 today, but does not expect a final vote to take place until next month. “They (Republicans) will not be able to caterwaul about a rush to judgment,” he said. “We need an open records vote, and we need it tomorrow (Tuesday).”
“House Republican Leader Sam Smith of Punxsutawney suggested Democrats were trying to ram legislation through the House that his members have not had a chance to review. “No hypocrisy in a secret process for open records is there?” he asked.
