First-ever Carnival of Open Records is up!
Aug 3rd, 2007 by dani_k
The fantastic Leslie Graves of State Sunshine and Open Records, has created the Carnival of Open Records - and the first edition is up and running.
For those of you unfamiliar with blog carnivals, the simplest explanation is that they are a round up of the best posts in a week that revolve around a central topic. Obviously, this one is about open records. (The title of a carnival is almost always a dead giveaway.)
Leslie has done a great job in finding bloggers who specialize in open records and the FOIA and spotlighting their best work. It’s really interesting to read other blogger’s stories from all over the country. Pennsylvania scrapes the bottom in open records law rankings, but we’re not alone! Jamie’s posts on the bill comparisons are ALL highlighted in the carnival.
Leslie is hosting the carnival again next Wednesday. If you’d like to submit your open records stories to the carnival, email her.
