Sen. Pileggi’s flip may open door to better government

From the Tri-County Sunday in DuBois:
It takes a big man — and an experienced public servant — to change his mind and his position on a high-visibility issue.
State Sen. Dominic Pileggi fits the bill. Pileggi, from about as far away from the Tri-County Area as one can get and still be in Pennsylvania, is the Senate Majority Leader, so his positions on key issues carry gravitas, influencing other legislators who respect his knowledge and experience.

If Pennsylvania does in fact get the “flip of presumption” and a government open to inquiry by all citizens, Pileggi also ought to get credit, and appreciation.
This could be a historic leap forward for Pennsylvanians too long mired in a governmental system of secrecy, cronyism and unresponsiveness.
Thanks, Sen. Pileggi.
